Agreement to Website Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and Cookies Policy
These Career Searcher Terms and Conditions (Career Searcher Terms), together with our Website Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, our Acceptable Use Policy and our Cookies Policy (which are incorporated by reference into these Career Searcher Terms), tell you information about us and the legal terms and conditions on which we supply any of our services (Services) listed on our website, savvyguest.com (our site) to you and will apply to any contract between us for the supply of Services to you (Contract).
By joining the site and continuing the process, you agree to the Career Searcher Terms and conditions.
You should print a copy of these Career Searcher Terms, together with the other documents referred to in them, or save them to your computer for future reference.
We amend these Career Searcher Terms from time to time. Every time you wish to use our Services, please check these Career Searcher Terms to ensure you understand the terms which will apply at that time.
The Terms, and any Contract between us, are only in the English language.

We are Savvy Guest Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 08033796 and with our registered office at Inspire Centre, 747 Stockport Road, Levenshulme, Manchester, England M19 3AR. Definitions
In these Career Searcher Terms the following expressions have the following meanings:
Opportunity means an advertisement posted by an Advertiser on the Advertisements Page on our site for a prescribed period of time;
Advertiser means a company, partnership, sole trader, education provider or recruiter which is a registered user of our site and which advertises its, activities, services or products to career searchers via an Advertisement on the Advertisements Page on our site;
Career Searcher and you means the person who registers to use our site and/or the Services;
Host Company means a company, partnership or sole trader which is a registered user of our site and which advertises its offering of pre-career opportunity to one or more career searchers via an Opportunity Listing on the Advertisements Page on our site;
Services means career searching tools and services that we make available to Career Searchers from time to time on our site;
Opportunity means an offer of pre-career opportunity provided by a Host Company to one or more career searchers;
Opportunity Listing means an advertisement of a Slot and its requirements posted by a Host Company on the Advertisements Page on our site for a prescribed period of time.
How the contract is formed between you and us
For the steps you need to take to use the Services, please see our Registration page.
Our registration process allows you to check and amend any errors before submitting your registration application to us. Please take the time to read and check your registration application at each page of the registration process.
You warrant that you are 18 years or older and that all the information you supply to us in your registration application is true and accurate.
If you submit any information in a registration application that is found to be false, incomplete or incorrect, we reserve the right to deny you access to our site and the Services on it.
After you apply to register, you will receive an e-mail from us acknowledging that we have received your registration application. However, please note that this does not mean that your registration application has been accepted. We will confirm our acceptance of your registration application to you by sending you an e-mail that confirms that your registration application has been successful. The Contract between us will only be formed when we send you the Registration E-Mail Confirmation.
Membership and Fees
We offer Standard Membership and Gold Membership.
Standard Membership
If you apply for and we accept your registration for Standard Membership you may access the Advertisements Page and you will be able to access and submit your interest to:
- Opportunity Listings which are unpaid or have remuneration of less than £22,000 gross per year.
- Limited to five submissions at any one time.
Standard Membership is free.
Gold Membership
If you apply for and we accept your registration for Gold Membership you may access the same service as for Standard Membership (above) and, in addition, unlimited submissions and you may access and submit interest for Slot Listings with remuneration of £22,000 gross per year or more.
The Gold Membership fee is £25 not including VAT per year and is payable on registration for an upgrade.
Gold Membership is renewable annually and will elapse automatically without notice to you on the anniversary of us setting up your account with our site.
Services
You may only use the Services on our site if you are at least 18 years old.
We provide the Services to you on an “as is” basis. We exclude, to the fullest extent permitted by law, all warranties, conditions, representations or other terms that may be implied by statute or common law in relation to the Services.
You acknowledge that we are not responsible for the content of any Opportunity Listing or Advertisement and that you shall satisfy yourself about the suitability of any career experience and the identity of the Host Company that has posted the Opportunity Listing or the Advertiser that has posted the Advertisement.
As a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to the Services not carried out with reasonable skill and care. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens’ Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office. Nothing in these Career Searcher Terms will affect these legal rights.
Our liability
If we fail to comply with these Career Searcher Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Career Searcher Terms or our negligence, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if they were an obvious consequence of our breach or if they were contemplated by you and us at the time we entered into the Contract.
We only supply the Services for domestic and private use. You agree not to use the Services for any commercial or business purposes, and we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.
We do not in any way exclude or limit our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- any breach of the terms implied by section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (title and quiet possession);
- any breach of the terms implied by section 13 to 15 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (description, satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and samples); and
- defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.
Your Submissions to Host Companies and Advertisers
When you submit your interest to a Host Company about its Opportunity Listing, you agree that:
- You have read and understood the requirements for the Opportunity offered; and
- The information you provide in your profile and submission is a true and accurate reflection of who you are.
You acknowledge that any submission you make in respect of an Advertisement is assessed by the relevant Advertiser and all decisions relating to your submission are taken by the relevant Advertiser and not by us. Accordingly, you shall address any requests for information relating to a submission in respect of an Advertisement to the Advertiser directly.
The Conduct Of Employment Agencies And Employment Business Regulations 2003 (The “Regulations”)
We provide the information and Services on our site for the sole purpose of Career Searchers who are registered users of the site and are looking for careers information offered by Host Companies.
You acknowledge that our site operates as a venue only and does not introduce or supply Career Searchers to Host Companies or Advertisers, and vice versa, and that we do not:
- obtain sufficient information for Host Companies or Advertisers to select a suitable Career Searcher for the position which a Host Company or an Advertiser offers;
- take any steps to ensure that both you and the Host Company or the Advertiser are each aware of any legal or other requirement which either or both must satisfy to allow you to take up the advertised position;
- take any steps to ensure that it would not be detrimental to the interests of you or the Host Company or the Advertiser for you to take up the advertised position;
- give any indication to the Host Company or the Advertiser whether you are suitable or unsuitable for any advertised position in any circumstances;
- propose you to Host Companies or Advertisers or provide any information about them;
- take up any references in respect of you; or
- make any arrangements for accommodation of Career Searchers.
You agree to undertake any necessary steps to meet any requirements in the Regulations which apply to you as a Career Searcher to ensure that you are suitable for the advertised position.
Our right to vary these terms
We may revise these Career Searcher Terms from time to time in the following circumstances:
- changes in how we accept payment from you;
- changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements; and
- changes to our business model.
Every time you use our Services, the Terms in force at that time will apply to the Contract between you and us.
Whenever we revise these Career Searcher Terms, we will keep you informed and give you notice of this by stating that these Career Searcher Terms have been amended and the relevant date at the top of this page.
Payment
If you have registered for any Services for which a fee is charged, payment for those Services is in advance, using a debit card or credit card.
We will not charge your debit card or credit card until we send you our registration confirmation.
How we use your personal information
We only use your personal information in accordance our Privacy Policy. For details, please see our Privacy Policy. Please take the time to read these, as they include important terms which apply to you.
Cancelling your Contract under the Distance Selling Regulations
You have a legal right to cancel the Contract under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000) (the Distance Selling Regulations) during the period described below. This means that during the relevant period if you change your mind or for any other reason you decide you do not want to use the Services for which you have registered, you can notify us of your decision to cancel the Contract and receive a refund of any payment you have made to us. Advice about your legal right to cancel the Contract under these regulations is available from your local Citizens’ Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office.
You agree for us to begin to provide the Services within seven working days from the date of the Registration Confirmation, which is when the Contract between us is formed. Working days means that Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays are not included in this period. Accordingly, you agree that your legal right to cancel the Contract starts from the date of the Registration Confirmation, which is when the Contract between us is formed, until the date on which we begin to supply the Services to you.
To cancel the Contract, you must contact us in writing by sending an e-mail to cancel@savvyguest.co.uk You may wish to keep a copy of your cancellation notification for your own records. If you send us your cancellation notice by e-mail, then your cancellation is effective from the date you sent us the e-mail.
You will receive a full refund of the price you paid for the Services. We will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 calendar days of the day on which you gave us notice of cancellation.
We refund you on the credit card or debit card used by you to pay.
The Registration Confirmation provides details of your legal right to cancel and an explanation of how to exercise it.
As a consumer, you will always have legal rights in relation to services that are not supplied with reasonable skill and care. These legal rights are not affected by the Cancellation Policy or these Career Searcher Terms. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens’ Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office.
Events outside our control
We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under the Contract that is caused by an Event Outside Our Control.
An Event Outside Our Control means any act or event beyond our reasonable control, including without limitation strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action by third parties, civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war, fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster, or failure of public or private telecommunications networks or impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport.
If an Event Outside Our Control takes place that affects the performance of our obligations under the Contract:
- we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible to notify you; and
- our obligations under the Contract will be suspended and the time for performance of our obligations will be extended for the duration of the Event Outside Our Control. Where the Event Outside Our Control affects our supply of Services to you, we will make arrangements with you after the Event Outside Our Control is over.
Communications between us
When we refer, in these Career Searcher Terms, to “in writing”, this will include e-mail.
To cancel the Contract in accordance with your legal right to do so as set out under Cancelling Your Contract Under The Distance Selling Regulations, you must contact us in writing by sending an e-mail to cancel@savvyguest.co.uk. You may wish to keep a copy of your cancellation notification for your own records. If you send us your cancellation notice by e-mail, then your cancellation is effective from the date you sent us the e-mail.
If you wish to contact us in writing for any other reason, you can send this to us by e-mail to Savvy Guest Limited at enquiries@savvyguest.co.uk. You can always contact us using our Customer Services telephone line 0161 275 3500.
If we have to contact you or give you notice in writing, we will do so by e-mail to the address you provide to us in your registration application.
Other important terms
We may transfer our rights and obligations under the Contract to another organisation, but this will not affect your rights or our obligations under these Career Searcher Terms.
This Contract is between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms, whether under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties Act) 1999 or otherwise.
Each of the paragraphs of these Career Searcher Terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them, or any part of them, is unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining paragraphs, and part of them, will remain in full force and effect.
If we fail to insist that you perform any of your obligations under these Career Searcher Terms, or if we do not enforce our rights against you, or if we delay in doing so, that will not mean that we have waived our rights against you and will not mean that you do not have to comply with those obligations. If we do waive a default by you, we will only do so in writing, and that will not mean that we will automatically waive any later default by you.
These Career Searcher Terms are governed by English law. This means the Contract for the supply of Services through our site and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it will be governed by English law. You and we both agree to that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. However, if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are a resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
We will not file a copy of the Contract between us.
